Managed communications and outreach strategies for individual donors, engaged donors through receptions, special events, and personalized communications, building and sustaining relationships with donors and audience members.

Managed all aspects of the development team for a national education equity non-profit by supporting fundraising activities encompassing annual giving, special appeals, events, third party initiatives, corporate sponsorship, individual giving, media marketing campaigns, and systems management. Co-Supervised Development Assistant.

Managing the agency's Development and Communications departments, I created and oversaw a new fund development program, marketing strategy, and volunteer program. These efforts included social media content marketing, major donor solicitation, major fundraising events and conferences, private foundation/corporate grants, and corporate sponsorships.

Managed all aspects of one-day corporate volunteer projects. Working with volunteers from companies like Google, Facebook, Kaiser, Moody’s, and Levi’s, created projects with Bay Area non-profits to make the biggest impact in the time allotted. Key Achievement: Provided recommendations that improved on-boarding and training of new employees in addition to providing marketing assistance to the Branding Committee, implementing new agency wide branding protocols.

Oversaw the day-to-day operations of the PAWS volunteer program including recruitment, screening, training, placement, integration, evaluation and recognition of a diverse and highly motivated team of volunteers. Also responsible for special event setup, community outreach events, corporate team-building, fundraising and client services.Key Achievement: Developed and implemented, in partnership with the Vice President of Development, team-building corporate group volunteer opportunities with a goal of $5k, resulting in over $12k in monetary and $2k of in-kind donations; building lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with some of the Bay Area’s most prestigious companies.

Oversaw the formation and on-going guidance of various civic advisory, donor and minority recruitment councils, and served as primary contact for the assessment and implementation of the recruitment and marketing ideas they generated; Identified and represented the organization at local community, Rotary and Chamber events, enhancing the overall marketing and donor recruitment/retention effort; Represented the organization by serving on the Program Development Committee for the Association of Donor Recruitment Professionals and the Board of Directors for the Tyler Rotary; Supervised Executive Administrative Staff; Provided internal and external customer service training in conjunction with on-boarding of new hires resulting in an increase of 3% in employee retention; Assisted in the preparation of the annual budget and ensured proper departmental financial control.Key Achievement: Developed and implemented a new volunteer program resulting in 6 volunteer donor councils and 302 additional volunteers for 7 donor centers across 26 East Texas counties, contributing an average of 4 hours per week or almost $300k annually. As a result of these volunteer hours, blood donations increased by over 1000 in 2010 and over 1500 in 2011, or $346k and $519k respectively.

Provided administrative assistance to the Chief Advancement Officer, Chief Development Officer and the Director of Communications with back-up assistance to CEO and CFO for a large non-profit organization with a $23 million budget and staff of 500.

Managed office for busy medical billing/electronic medical records sales and support company. Acted as Executive Assistant to the CEO and owner of the company. Also offered training, tech support and installations.
