Steven E Zerby is the retired Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Owens Corning and is certified for Cybersecurity Risk Oversight by the National Association of Corporate Directors and Carnegie Mellon University. Today he serves as an advisor establishing approaches and strategies for technology-related companies and entities. As part of a 30+ year career evaluating, selecting, and deploying enterprise technology and building award-winning teams, Mr. Zerby led the Global Information Services organization which includes all Owens Corning information, cybersecurity, analytics, digital, and advanced manufacturing technology, across 33 countries, since his appointment in 2013.Previously at Owens Corning, Mr. Zerby served as the vice president of application technology and Europe information technology. Prior to Owens Corning, Mr. Zerby had 14 years of experience in the integrated oil and gas industry at Marathon Oil and technology at NCR Corporation.With extensive global management experience across IT industry domains, Mr. Zerby understands the challenges faced in today’s fast moving, high stakes technology environments. As a member of the corporate operating committee and strategic marketing council, Steve has garnered the confidence of 4 CEO’s, executive teams and the Board of Directors as a powerful and pragmatic enterprise leader.Externally, Mr. Zerby has been recognized by Computerworld as one of the 100 premier IT leaders in the US, the annual CIO magazine “CIO 100” award, and has led Owens Corning to being named as Computerworld’s #1 Best Place to Work in IT in 2019 and 2021. Mr. Zerby was a final four finalist for Michigan CIO of the Year in 2020 and is a 2022 final four finalist for CIO of the Year in Ohio.In 2022, Forbes named Mr Zerby as one of its top 50 US CIOs.
