Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Honours Science and Business at the University of Waterloo, my educational journey is as much about gaining knowledge as it is about applying it in practical settings. As a first-year Science and Business student, I am driven by a passion for healthcare, particularly in the fields of neurology and pediatrics. My journey into healthcare began with personal experiences, having grown up alongside my brother who has autism. This early exposure ignited my interest in understanding the brain and its impact on behavior, inspiring me to pursue a career in medicine with a focus on neuroscience.Over the past four years, I have cultivated strong leadership, organizational, and marketing skills through roles in Student Council, serving as a representative, Public Relations Officer, and Marketing Campaign Manager, where I coordinated events, managed outreach, and advocated for the student body. My involvement with DECA further enhanced my business acumen, earning 4th place at DECA Provincials out of 120+ teams and qualifying for the international competition, where I developed creative marketing strategies and honed critical thinking under pressure. As a Behavioral Health Training Officer for HOSA, I deepened my passion for healthcare by educating peers on neurological sciences and mental health, reinforcing my commitment to making a difference through medicine. Combining my leadership background with my aspiration to specialize in pediatrics and neurology, I aim to collaborate on innovative healthcare initiatives, contribute to the pre-med community at the University of Waterloo, and drive meaningful change in healthcare. 🩺
