So, you're probably looking around you thinking "wow, things are complicated these days". Well, things aren't just more complicated, they're more complex. Like, mathematically complex. Organisations, markets, and technology are significantly more interconnected, interdependent, and co-evolutionary than we like to admit. They're more like ecosystems of autonomous organisms, mostly with intelligence, than predictable architectures and linear systems. The same applies to the cybersecurity and privacy threats that are embedded in and emerge from those things. My interests are in understanding how we navigate this world of products, services, and platforms from a cybersecurity perspective using threat modelling as a highly scalable, parallel, and human-driven set of practices.
