The Summer Interdisciplinary Teams Experience (SITE) program allows students of varying disciplines (Physics, Biology, Computer Science, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering) to collaborate in a unifying effort to accomplish a goal. This year's project tasked the interns design an eco-friendly, sustainable house, calling upon each student's strengths to address the financial, geographical, and physical obstacles faced when creating such a home.Tasks:- Research sustainable alternatives to household appliances and energy sources- Use Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Sketch Up to present designs, research, financial requirements, economical and environmental impact- Build a scale model of final design for sustainable house and present it to professors from the colleges of Science, Math, and Engineering
