CurrentSupport the expansion of life science testing capabilities (microbiology and molecular) and connected technologies for a global leader in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. • Process incoming bacterial, fungal, and mold specimens and perform MALDI-TOF isolate identifications interpreting the results. Prepare for antibiotic susceptibility testing by performing purity checks to implement new drug development protocols. • Participate in all facets of MIC testing including subbing isolates, preparing inoculums, pipetting, and running inoculating instruments. Collaborate with scientific teams on interpreting MIC results from broth microdilution, agar dilution, disk diffusion, and ETEST® methodologies. • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and conduct routine maintenance on laboratory instrumentation. Assist with writing and revising laboratory procedures according to CLSI and regulatory guidelines.• Appointed as safety leader to ensure proper GLP and GCLP are adhered to while enforcing safety guidelines including the appropriate wearing of PPE and the proper use and disposal of chemicals. Coordinate with EHS managers on inspections and developing improvements in chemical hygiene programs.
