I’m a sales-trained product marketer. Gotta know your buyer, build a relationship, and get what they want β€” to best win them over. I was in B2B SaaS sales for five years, before my pivot to product marketing in 2020. Product marketing makes buying feel less like a generic shoe, and more like a custom running shoe β€” feeling like it’s built only for you. But before sales I wanted to be a schoolteacher in college. The abysmal salary wasn’t enough to justify my passion for education. So I decided on finance instead. And, would later decide being an investment banker was worse than a basic living wage.
