I was born in a small town in China and was fascinated by chemistry and biology in high school. In 2005 I came to the U.S. to pursue my independent postdoctoral research at Colorado State University in the area of Chemical Biology. I became very interested in one type of biological molecules called carbohydrates or glycans. In 2009 I decided to move my career to the industry. From 2009 to 2013, I held various industrial positions from carbohydrate synthesis to microarray development. I am an experienced biomedical research scientist and has been awarded multiple Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grants. In 2013, I founded Z Biotech, LLC to offer academic and industrial organizations highly advanced glycan microarray products and analytical services. I have great passion to take entrepreneurial initiative, create a new business venture by raising resources, and apply innovative ideas to solve problems and meet the needs of the glycoscience market.Located at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, US, Z Biotech is a contract service company.
