Zhang Tingjun is a social entrepreneur, wilderness medic and consultant. A High Risk Safety consultant with ZeroRisk International, Ting draws from her diverse experiences across the region and specialises in developing practical, effective and culturally-sensitive solutions for clients. Highly sought after for her unique perspectives, Ting oversees some of ZeroRisk's largest accounts and portfolios.Equally at home as an emergency medic with her local fire station, or sharing her insights on platforms such as TEDx and the Responsible Business Forum. Ting is best known for her creative approaches to making a positive impact on society and was recently the highest searched Social Impact profile on LinkedIn Singapore. A former national athlete, Ting is a co-founder of The Chain Reaction Project, a social enterprise that uses adventure as a platform to raise support for critical social issues. Most recently, she co-founded Into the Wild, a series of gritty, messy, real-life wilderness emergency simulations designed to bring out the super hero in little adventurers.Previously a presenter and producer with Channel NewsAsia, Ting was also the Executive Director of Singapore’s leading disaster relief organisation, Mercy Relief. She managed a portfolio that spanned 25 countries across Asia Pacific, including the team’s response to the 2015 Nepal Earthquake. Ting was not only the first female head of Mercy Relief but also the youngest to lead an international disaster and development NGO in Singapore. Ting is an advisor on numerous councils and has been described by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Jose Ramos Horta as “a remarkable woman and an achiever with a caring heart”.
