I'm Sally Zhao, a current Master's Student studying Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning at Columbia University. During my undergraduate studies, I expanded my technical skills by working with large datasets at NASA, creating predictive climate and economic models in modeling and simulation competitions, writing and publishing Python packages, and presenting my findings at various conferences. I have also participated in AGILE software roles, including with defense contractor companies as a software engineer intern. I have a strong interest in data science and machine learning and have participated in numerous hackathons and competitions (e.g. MCM, ICM, QUEST Datathon, etc). The world is measured in data and computer science is one avenue to understand it. I am currently interested in expanding my skillset and am seeking summer 2024 internship opportunities and fall 2024 full-time positions. I pride myself on my technical and communication skills and hope to utilize my skills for a better, quantitative tomorrow.
