    Being a Ph.D. research assistant, I am under the supervision of Dr. Sen-ching S. Cheung in his Multimedia Information Analysis (MIA) Lab, where the visualization technique and information security are two major topics. My research focuses on information forensics and security with a specialty in the information-theoretic secure computation in distributed systems (Secure MPC). The primary outcome will be formulating a secure distributed computing framework for networked platforms typically deployed in cloud computing, and the design will be presented in publications. A second outcome will be a release of software for image processing using our model platform to demonstrate the practical application of the proposed framework. Last but not least, an outcome for myself is the excitement and joy obtained in search of knowledge during the dissertation work. The efforts reveal a beautiful intersection of signal processing, cryptography, information theory, and mechanism design.
