Dr Dai is a trained epidemiologist with 10 years’ experience in chronic disease prevention and management. She has led several large population-based cohorts in Singapore, the U.S. and Australia to study the role of nutrition and clinical risk factors in various aging outcomes. Working with a diverse population and experts across different disciplines, she has developed advanced methods in statistical modelling and systematic review techniques, with extensive experience in data analysis and project management. Her research on health guidelines and health policies assesses whether guideline recommendations are evidence-based and patient-centred and identify ways to strengthen these areas.Areas of expertise: Epidemiology methods: study design, survey design, data collection, and data (including big data) analysis;Health outcomes: aging health, obesity, metabolic disorders, and musculoskeletal health;Food and nutrition: dietary assessment, nutrition epidemiologic methods, and food policies;Health guidelines and policy assessment;Scientific writing and presentations;Teaching: public health, epidemiology, systematic review methods, public health policy, and nutrition in the lifecycle.
