Art x Tech is a workshop hosted by NUS CDE department, aimed at bringing art and engineering disciplines together. Responsibilities of a student mentor included:• Assist a team of JC students in designing and building an Arduino bot that can make art• Advice organizers on potential and limitations of robotics kit provided to participants• Educate the team on the basics of Arduino, CAD and C++ coding• Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate acrylic parts• Led the team to win the title of best robot design

• Improved and maintained in-house built fluorescent microscope, significantly reducing image acquisition time• Designed and created a graphical user interface (GUI) using PyQt library integrated with a Python-based backend• Prototyped using PLA and SLA 3D printers to create functional parts efficiently• Produced graphical figures for scientific research paper
