I am a bioinformatics data scientist with >10 years of experience in research and industry setting. I have extensive experience in bioinformatics data analysis, complex pipeline building, but also experience in machine learning.I currently work at Zymo Research as a bioinformatics group leader. During the years at Zymo, I developed bioinformatics pipelines for multiple library types including RNAseq, ChIPseq, 16S amplicon-seq and shotgun metagenome sequencing. I lead a team to develop no-code bioinformatics platform (https://www.aladdin101.org) that runs bioinformatics pipelines for customers. I also was responsible for various software, data analysis, modeling, database building efforts at the company. I previously worked as computer scientist at USC studying algal biology. I developed computational methods and pipelines for analyzing algal gene expression data, set up and maintained a lab bioinformatic server and taught multiple students bioinformatics.I've also done several machine learning projects with real-life data.
