As a chemist, I love applying my scientific expertise to tackle complex issues in natural product (ingredient) and nutraceuticals/functional foods spaces, from discovering, to developing, to optimizing, and scaling up.With over 18 years of progressive experience working for global food and beverage leaders such as Givaudan (B2B), The Coca-Cola Company (B2C), and Cargill (B2B), I transitioned from a bench scientist to a strategic technical leader who knows how to use technology and market intelligence to guide innovation and business strategy in B2B and B2C. At a hemp cannabinoid startup, I managed the overall planning, organizing, leading, controlling (P-O-L-C) framework of the hemp extraction company founded in 2019. Managing a greenfield project for a foreign-invested manufacturing company taught me many important lessons. The high failure rate of foreign investments from certain region in the USA is not a coincidence.Following a brief stint as the R&D executive director at Kemin Food Technologies, I returned to Florida to join my family and started a new adventure in the CPG industry as a co-founder, using synthetic biology/precision fermentation to transform the creation of clean label ingredients for food, feed, beverage, and personal care products.I believe that prevention is more important than intervention in health and wellness. I strongly value diversity and inclusion, the belief gets even stronger after my experience with a previous company where I were the sole minority executive of a business unit. I also follow the 80/20 rule (Pareto Principle) in my work.
