PICS3D is a flagship product of Crosslight Software Inc now.  Performed a number of studies with photonic simulations which were implemented in PICS3D:o Writing a Beam Propagation Method (BPM) solver codes for three-dimensional waveguides. o Writing a Modal Method solver codes using both guided and radiation modes. o Studying possibility of modelling an arbitrary shape taper semi-analytically. o Using sparse matrix, Newton's method, Beam propagation method, Finite element method (FEM), Transfer matrix method, Mode-matching method in the simulations of semiconductor devices.o Implemented a new technique for analyzing photonic devices. This new technique is based on a rapidly converging iterative mode matching method. In the analysis both guided and radiation modes are taken into account.
