Building and operating multiple operating CCS storage sites at bioethanol facilities in North Dakota and Indiana. As the Team Lead for the multidisciplinary Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Subsurface Team, comprised of employees, consultants, and contractors, I hold comprehensive oversight responsibilities. My purview includes drilling, completion, seismic analysis, coring, well-logging, testing, monitoring, as well as ensuring compliance with Underground Injection Control (UIC) Class VI permitting. Committed to efficiency, fiscal discipline, and regulatory adherence, I excel in steering projects to successful completion. My leadership has been a key factor in managing large-scale initiatives that consistently meet or exceed quality and operational excellence benchmarks. Notably, we have commissioned Blue Flint CCS, the United States' first fully commercial CCS project in October 2023, making it the third operating CCS project in operation in the country. We are making great progress in actively developing other CCS projects in US.

As the leader of Wood's subsurface G&G and engineering capability, I successfully helped clients' CCUS projects by providing comprehensive services including but not limited to Class VI well permit, CCS site selection, injection and monitoring well design, MRV/MMV plan, CO2 capture and pipeline, ethanol, blue hydrogen, and CO2 EOR. Through my guidance and expertise, my team helped clients achieve their goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and maximizing project efficiency.

Lead Engineer for Large-Scale Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) and Renewable Energy Projects Worldwide, with expertise in Monitoring, Measurement, and Verification (MMV) Program for CCUS. Key responsibilities include:Spearheading CO2 storage, CO2 EOR, hydrogen storage, blue hydrogen, geothermal, and other renewable energy related projects worldwide.Developing expertise in Class VI permitting, 45Q/LCFS regulations, cap rock integrity, and fault seal analysis.Leading the Alberta Carbon Grid project, with responsibility for site selection and RFP application for a 20MTPA CCS project.Providing technical leadership on MMV program for CCUS, including implementation of MRV plan, data collection, analysis, and reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups, to ensure project success.

Explored geothermal resources in Utah and Alberta through Enhanced Geothermal System in a geothermal E&P venture.

Led field development and operations for CO2 EOR fields, including SACROC, Yates, Tall Cotton, and Katz, and CO2 gas fields, such as McElmo and Doe Canyon. Also, responsible for identifying and pursuing CCUS opportunities and the asset divestiture process. Pioneered the development of CCUS projects before it became a popular industry trend.

Served as the 60th International President of SPWLA (2018-2019), overseeing the organization's strategic direction and managing its global operations. Also held various leadership roles as a board member and member of the SPWLA Foundation.Spearheaded the development and implementation of a new strategic plan for SPWLA, resulting in increased membership, expanded outreach, and enhanced engagement with industry partners.Instituted a series of measures to strengthen the financial position of SPWLA, including the establishment of new revenue streams and the introduction of more rigorous financial controls.Initiated a number of new programs and initiatives to promote innovation and collaboration within the petrophysics community, including the launch of an online forum for members and the establishment of new partnerships with academic and industry organizations.Worked closely with the SPWLA Foundation to increase the number and value of scholarships awarded to students pursuing degrees in petrophysics and related fields.

At Schlumberger's PathFinder unit, I specialized in LWD interpretation, horizontal drilling, and geosteering.

As a petrophysicist at Wamsutter tight gas field, I led the development of a comprehensive petrophysical model for the Almond formation, which was then integrated with the reservoir simulation model to optimize the field development plan. The model included analysis and interpretation of well log data, as well as core analysis and fluid characterization. The resulting model significantly improved the accuracy of permeability prediction, leading to better reservoir management and increased production efficiency.

Proficient in programming Wireline and LWD tool software and algorithms using various languages including C++, C#, FORTRAN, C, COM+, and Matlab.
