Senior Security EngineerTeachers Credit Union Aug 2017 - Jul 2019After two years as the Senior Systems Engineer, I was promoted to lead all IT security measures for TCU. My entire efforts went to protecting the financial data and banking information from infiltration and cyber-attacks. I gained a reputation as IT-Security thought leader for successfully overseeing the security protocols for TCU, the largest regional credit union with over 50 locations. In fact, I was asked to train other NCUA members and assess their respective security measures. After taking on this role, my first order of business was to create various security measures to help monitor the systems. I designed new configurations for the firewalls and intrusion detection system, both on-premise and in the cloud. This extended the vulnerability checks and allowed me to make better anti-virus, spam, and malware tool selections.
