I am currently a Computer Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati, working towards becoming an aspiring video game developer. Video games have been an integral part of my life and the desire to make them is what got me interested in studying Computer Engineering, and I hope to use what I’m learning in my classes and other opportunities to do succeed in becoming a successful developer.Over the years, I’ve had multiple opportunities to learn new things and gain experience, such as Genius Olympiad and Global Citizens MUN. I participated in Genius Olympiad as part of the Creative Writing category. Genius Olympiad is an international competition, so I was exposed to a sort of global setting and was able to interact with people of different cultures and nationalities. Global Citizens MUN is an international Model United Nations, which was a very global setting as well. Both experiences greatly influenced my communication and public speech skills and gave a more worldly point of view. I’m able to easily integrate myself into any team setting and get to know new people.Through my courses, I’ve become familiar with a couple programming languages including Python, C++, MATLAB, and VBA for Excel. Some of my non-programming skills include video editing on Premiere Pro, making small edits on Photoshop, and professional photography. I'm also fluent in Arabic.When I’m not studying, I’m either knitting, reading, listening to audiobooks, or watching movies. However, if I’m doing a task, I'm always fully committed to it until it’s done. I’m somewhat of a perfectionist so I’m sometimes my own worst enemy when it comes to getting a task done quickly.I think some of my best qualities are my ability to communicate with others, and my ability to learn something quickly. Through them, I can easily meet new people and learn anything new that I need to fully. If I don’t know something, I’ll fully communicate that and makes sure I learn as much as I can about it.
