Systematizing and consolidating Fazenda da Toca’s R & D Section in order to make it a center of excellence in aggregation research and innovation in productive processes and agroforestry design innovations. the main responsibilities addressed can be presented as follow:(1) Creating, modifying, and improving agroforestry systems using novel designs with a life cycle concept and innovative methodological bases (using syntrophic and permaculture scopes), while establishing the system evolution; consolidating production curves and revenues; (2) Rethinking, understanding and implementing new concepts of native tropical silviculture, emphasizing the use of forest products while adding value through alternative use and perspectives;(3) Attracting researchers / investors innovations while carrying out a constant benchmarking campaign for data congregation;(4) Evaluation and coordination of internal and external researchers through a continuous improvement process on applied research.(5) Developing of designs, systematization, data checking and income generation for silvicultural and agroforestry production models in order to create valuable replicable models for smallholder farmers.

Local knowledge acquiring and land cover inventory (ILUA) for Agroforestry interventions in Mpulungu District, Northern Province, Zambia. Thesis write-up. Fieldwork carried out in the framework of Lake Tanganyika Integrated Management Project (Zambia Component) in association with ICRAF. The opportunity offered by ICRAF to cooperate with a development project in the Tanganyika Lake, in Zambia, using Local Knowledge to evaluate impact zones, "mapping" environment services, synergic and tradeoff areas, inferring possible "bottom-top" environmental interventions to be carried out in the zone was used as the second part of my MSc. dissertation for Bangor University, Wales.

Leading a field team in charge of the survey, measurement, and statistics of newly established National Parks of the Brazilian Amazon Forest (Amana, Crepori, and Jamanxim), including logistics and navigation. Random points had to be reached by water, land, or air and most of the tracks were done walking (involving month expedition). General description of the area, botanical collections, and indigenous peoples surveys were also conducted. Other topics involved benchmarking and forest market surveys in other Amazonian cities.
