Ashley Fairbanks is a Creative Director at 100% Campaign, a movement that works to create positive narratives around a just and sustainable future while moving policy to get Minnesota to a carbon-free energy future. With over 12 years of experience in politics, art, and activism, she has developed a unique and effective approach to cultural organizing and narrative strategy that empowers and uplifts marginalized communities.She has also created brands and driven communications and digital strategy for various political and issue campaigns and candidates. As an Anishinaabe woman, artist, designer, and writer, she is passionate about using her skills and voice to advance a future where Indigenous, Black, brown, and marginalized people are able to thrive and live in deep connection with a healthy planet. Her first book, This Land, is being published by Crown in August of 2024. She is based in San Antonio, Texas, where she lives with her daughter, husband, and tiny dog named Waffles.
