At the Diesel Flagship store in Amsterdam I am responsible for the look & feel by making sure visual merchandising is in line with company goals and directives given by Italy headquarters.Training and guiding the sales team and optimizing store capacity and installing windows and other in-store installations. I am also responsible for finding sales opportunities and giving feedback to the Area Manager and/or Retail Manager.Alongside my daily work, I have also worked in several projects in which I was responsible for the coordination of redecorating stores and (re-)openings of the stores in Amsterdam, Antwerp and The Hague. For Amsterdam I also set up several showrooms.The one project I'm most proud of is working on the fall/winter 2012 Main Collection guidelines. During this week at Italy headquarters, I worked in a team of visual merchandisers and designers to create the guidelines for Diesel worldwide.

I was responsible for achieving sales target given from headquarters and also set up short and longterm strategies to achieve these goals. I was responsible for the administration, set up work schedules and employee guidelines, and getting my team motivated and enthusiastic on the floor. I was also responsible for the selection of new employees and independently held annual evaluations and appraisals.Alongside the Store Manager responsibilities mentioned above, I also did the Visual Merchandising for the Diesel Black Gold Store.

Three out of five days I spent assisting the Store Manager with the administration, setting up work schedules and employee guidelines. I was also responsible for getting my team motivated and enthusiastic and I helped the Store Manager select new employees. For the remaining two days, I was responsible for the Visual Merchandising. I did this by following Diesel Black Gold guidelines when setting up in-store installations and windows. Alongside that I also worked on the daily tasks and on achieving sales targets.
