At The Hobart Magazine I worked in a small, close-knit team to write news articles and features for Tasmanian readers, as well as covering local issues and events. I was responsible for pitching story ideas, securing talent and case studies, conducting interviews and research and fact-checking. I also produced articles for print, online and social media.

As part of the on-call roster, I was responsible for handling media enquiries in relation to power outages. This included the Christmas-New Year period over 2019/20 where around 3,000 homes were without power because of fires. I represented the organisation for live on-air radio interviews with ABC Local Radio, provided comments to media outlets and communicated outage updates to stakeholders via social media.

I was responsible for managing the digital presence of a proposed energy project named Marinus Link. This including creating and managing social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter and Linked In, and the project website. I also oversaw digital content creation. My role saw me assisting with community engagement and media events.

In my role at St Mary's College I was responsible for creating and implementing communications strategies that furthered the school's goals. I managed both internal and external communications for the College. My duties included: - Identifying media opportunities for the College, distributing media alerts, arranging publicity opportunities, photoshoots and interviews- Social media management, including writing posts, commissioning, editing and producing content, scheduling, community management, driving engagement through moderation and conversation- Reporting on social media performance - Writing and implementing stakeholder consultation strategies affecting the College's newsletter and school uniform- Generating and uploading content for the College website - Coordinating the collation, publication and distribution of the fortnightly College newsletter- Photographing key College events to be used in publications and electronic communications - Liaising with the College Secretary and Junior School Administration Officer to ensure the College calendar was updated on the portal and website- Liaising with the Human Resource and Finance Manager in publishing jobs through online and newsprint platforms
