As part of the infrastructure engineering team for PershingX my daily work is diverse,between creating sample code to help application teams to use the new cloud infrastructure, to working with TSG (BNY main infra group) to ensure our requirements are met. to POC specific abilities in cloud and designing solutions based on the limitations we are having. Also as a senior (atleast in experiance) devops engineer I help lead the effort for our team in the tel aviv office.

Worked on multiple initiatives.Updated and supported and added features a home grown system used by algorithm developers for training their algorithms. Wrote code in Golang, using K8S sdk.created automation around creating new project - Using jenkins DSL, and python cookiecuttermaintained old jenkins pipelines and improved them by adding features and fixing old issues.rebuilt our testing scripts to use pytest in a more organized way.documented manual processes to reduce my need to remember how to handle them (made checklists basically)

In BNY Mellon I started the first year (until COVID spread anyway) byt working on a project running on azure, which included CI/CD pipelines both using jenkins and Azure tooling. Updating cloud architecture to use simpler tooling (CDN instead of webapps etc).After the project was closed and during the first year of covid, I have helped other developers in Israel to integrate and work with the bank bureaucracy, as well as trying to integrate our code with several systems we did not know of in the past.The last 6 months were mostly spent by creating gitlab pipelines and helping other projects move from jenkins to gitlab pipelines as a gitlab "champion" which was part of a bigger devops initiative in the bank

Cloud of things is a early stage startup and as such while my official title is Senior Devops/Software Developer theday to day work keeps changing. Here most of the development work is python based but it usually depends on thetool and the need. During the time here I already did the following:• Designed and implanted the previous and latest version of our external api.• Built the production environment to be based on docker and moved from rack space to azure.• Built a pipeline for our docker images (including using jenkins pipelines and a private registry with authentication).• worked with customers to support their use cases and develop new features that were missing to achieve thecompany goals or retain customers.• Built a simple driver to connect our agent to a radio chip.• used open source tools to present system health.• Used terraform to create environments in the cloud.• Developed custom pages in our external admin tool.• Assisted with the work of other developers in the company.• Completely rebuilt our api authentication mechanism.• Started the documentation effort to make our Operations clearer.• Fixed some bugs in open source tools we wanted to use.• Developed tools to integrate with azure IOT hub.• Planned infrastructure migration between azure regions.• Rebuild the entire infrastructure over K8s instead of swarm (as POC) over GCP

More of a build engineer, responsible for the build enviroment and processes. tiny services to connect between systems, external monitoring service etc.Used Azure and learned how to use it through the python/ruby sdk, azure cli, and powershell.Used Azure automation to setup a backup for wordpress.Created a basic monitoring center using scripts with Graphite, statsite, grafana, seyren and others.Built a pipeline for building our mobile apps in python.And many others.

Worked with various tools towards better implantation of the development process like: Setting up automatic deploy page for internal iphone builds, and creating scripts to inject commit number into the resulting ipa. creating tools to assist and automate the developers work. lead the migration of the group from svn to git. creating a staging enviroment for the build machine. creating a chef-solo cookbook for an android build machine. minor changes to the django app running several of our automatic tools. researched and deployed usage of ivy with artifactory using python script with ivy deploys. and several others.

My Job has been changed to be more focused on developing new tools and major fixes instead of supporting existing systems
