I'm not really a 'survivalist' and I won't be featured on National Geographic's 'Doomsday Preppers' but I do think its a good idea to be as self sustainable as possible. I am continuously improving my farm complete with dairy, beef, goats, turkeys, ducks, chickens, bees, vegetables in all 4 seasons, a greenhouse with some tropicals, mushrooms, berries, an orchard and a vineyard. I am building an energy system including hydro, solar and wind technologies. Energy plans also include capturing the natural gas from the sewer system for vehicles and wood heat. I have an extensive rainwater catchment and gravity fed irrigation system. A root cellar and sauna are in progress as well as edible fish through aquaponics. Works with GISS to provide real solutions to security problems. Zimbo also works with investors, land owners and business owners to develop and execute plans particularly in agriculture and tourism.In the past Zimbo has been to more than 70 countries and had many adventures. Zimbo grew up in Africa, educated in private boarding schools, and had his first real business (a discotheque) while still in high school.Zimbo spent almost 20 years in the US Army including, Quartermaster, Infantry, Special Forces and Intelligence, Airborne, Air Assault, SCUBA, war, learning languages, traveling, counter-terrorism, economic development, many weapons systems, demolitions and much more until becoming combat wounded. As a chemical engineer he has worked in the oil industry doing process control and instrumentation starting up new petroleum refining units all over the world.
