Imara Asset Management is the largest independent asset management company in Zimbabwe.Focusing on local equity and money markets it offered a portfolio management solution for both large corporations, pension funds and high net worth private clients. 2007 AUM - $ 130 million.• Managed and rebalanced equity portfolios for clients in line with the underlying investment strategy, which included liaising with brokers on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange between call-overs, allocation of completed trades and participation in investment committee meetings.• Reported to Pension Fund trustees on a quarterly basis updating them on the market conditions and the running investment strategy.• Provided investment and cash management advice to private clients in a hyper-inflationary environment.• Marketed the portfolio management services to pension funds and private clients.
