DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES=========================The Database Specialist will work under the supervision of the International/National Project Manager and in close coordination with Monitoring and Reporting Officer and the overall guidance of the Country Programme Manager.In specific, the Database Specialist will be responsible for the following:- Maintain an adequate database, including project activities, stock control, project completion status, sub-contracting payments to village; keep database up to date- As per project‟s requirement, prepare database design and development- Manage database security/integrity and backup procedures- Arrange training for field Admin, Finance and logistic personnel in data collection and use of data recording system- Collection and compilation of field offices data, progress and delivery reports- Ensure all field offices information to be recorded in the HQ data base correctly- Data entry and cleaning of data sets received from the field offices regarding progress, finance and construction materials stock balance in coordination with project staff- Retrieve, process, tabulate, analyze data and produce reports as required by the project- Assist computer hardware and software maintenance and support Monitoring and Reporting Officer- Perform any other duties as reasonably required by the senior management of UN-Habitat

Responsibility==========Day-to-day management of the CDG project database, including importing data submissions, checking accuracy of data summaries, running reports for data summaries and exporting data on-demand, and data entry.Occasional training of project and M&E staff in how to use the database in order to access data on-demand, including technical and M&E staff from partner organizations.Updating project location lists, indicator mapping, reporting period and data tables in the database.Create data reports generated from the database, both in standard format and in response to ad hoc requests.Assist in updating the structure of the project’s online cloud database, Microsoft Access data entry system, or CommCare data collection forms when required.Administer the project’s online cloud database to ensure that the database is up-to-date, accurate, and generates reports that meet management data needs. Assist to supervisor to monitor data collection, collation, storage, analysis and reporting of local partners, ensuring that data is audit-worthy and find realistic solutions to problems. Promote potential local partners to use mobile data collection, GIS and other technologies to enhance their M&E systems.Promote team member skill on computer applications (excel, database). Occasional travel to township offices and project sites to train field teams in database use, troubleshoot problems, or observe M&E activities.Work with the M&E team to troubleshoot problems with project databases as they arise.Participate as an active member of the M&E team in all team meetings, professional development activities and ongoing initiatives.Manage documentation of updates of data in real time.Assist in preparing reports in Burmese language when needed
