Thesis Project: Investigated the role of estrogen and endoplasmic reticulum stress in mouse models of diabetes and obesity, and their associated sexual dimorphisms. Lab skills: Performed immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry staining of pancreas tissue sections. Imaged beta-islets using confocal and light microscopy, which were then analysed through ImageJ for expression levels of endoplasmic reticulum stress and apoptotic markers.
