As a dedicated and accomplished science educator, I have a proven track record of transforming educational outcomes through innovative teaching methods and a deep commitment to student success. I achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate in Physical Science, which led to a significant reduction in student drop-out rates in both Physics and Chemistry. My success in implementing and refining the Chemistry curriculum has been instrumental in enhancing the quality of science education.I actively pursue professional growth, demonstrated by my successful participation in the Junior Secondary Chemistry Refinement Workshop under the Malawi College of Distance Education (MCDE). My career is marked by a passion for fostering educational excellence and a drive to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys.As a Co-Founder and Program Coordinator at the Africa Foundation Against Illiteracy (AFAI), I led several transformative initiatives. I spearheaded the Chichiri Prison Education Project, which addressed high illiteracy rates and improved educational opportunities for inmates through innovative solutions and strategic partnerships. Additionally, I launched the Donate-A-Book initiative, providing a diverse range of books—spanning novels, self-help, and inspirational literature—to underserved communities. This initiative aimed to foster a love for reading and personal growth beyond the confines of traditional education.My efforts were recognized with the Community Impact Award (2018) for my role in organizing and leading educational workshops that benefitted over 500 students. At AFAI, I am passionate about bridging educational gaps across Africa through initiatives like establishing youth centers with libraries and recreational facilities, advocating for educational policy reforms, and promoting gender equality in schools. I am committed to creating equitable educational opportunities for all and contributing to a brighter future for Africa.
