My responsibilities include the following:​Product management-Review and approve of audit plans-Review internal audit working papers in order to consider reliance on the work performed-Review working papers to ensure compliance with auditing standards and also ensure that adequate audit evidence is obtained to support audit conclusions-Review AFS to ensure compliance with the applicable accounting framework -Prepare and/or review audit reports -Table audit plans, management and audit reports at the audit committee meetings-Attend audit committee meetings-Table briefing documents and audit report at the Portfolio Committee /SCOPA meetings-Table briefing documents to the Minister on a quarterly basis-Attend Portfolio committee meetings-Ensure similar matters within the Arts and Culture portfolio are reported consistently Financial Management-Prepare budget for my business unit (BU)-Monitor budget and report monthly on the achievement of targets-Review monthly finance reports and report on variance-Ensure that systems and controls comply with financial policies and frameworks by performing monthly reviews within the business unit-Review age analysis and take necessary actions with respect to long outstanding debtors.-Review procurement within the business unit to ensure compliance with procurement policies and BBBEE requirements-Review and approved purchase orders for payments-Grow the revenue of the business unit by identifying new projects and increasing value added services to clients People Management-Formulate individual performance contracts which are based on the strategic objectives as included in the balance scorecard-Set performance targets for my team and monitor performance against targets-Provide feedback to staff regarding the performance of the business unit

Managing audit assignments for PFMA clients including national departments and related public entities

Performing various type of internal audit assignments at the subsidiaries of Bidserv, including Steiner, Prestige, Bidair etc

conducting audits at the various casinos and giving feedback senior management in the company and to the audit commitee

auditing working capital requirements of clients that needed and used the overdraft facility provided by the bank. also reporting back to the credit commitee of the bank on results fund at the client.
