We knew it would take some time with mainly two developers (us) working on a whole new social network. Along the way, we launched "Hydrin" in July 2020 as a one-stop shop for social media links. Hydrin was one of the first of its kind. Since then, there has been an explosion of similar services. But, Hydrin is still unique in many ways with its design, link system, and it is 100% free.It was clear that running multiple services out of pocket would become very difficult. So, from April 16 of 2021 - May 21 of 2021, we ran a Kickstarter campaign to help us maintain our current expenses, cover future ones, and fund future Dive projects. Over five weeks, 31 backers pledged a total of $1,001!Not even two months after, we launched our first physical product called "Dive Tap" in June of 2021. Dive Tap is an NFC (Near Field Communication) card to share information with others that you can fit into your wallet. You tap this card to the recipient's device to share contact information, files, and more. Though NFC is not new, Dive Tap paired with our custom-built software makes it easy to change what you share or even disable your card if you lose it.We're still working on our original project, Dive, but it will take some time.
