The plan was designed and refined to meet the needs of the company and the bank, but unfortunately the efforts were initiated too late for the company and the financial situation was too difficult to manage without significant risk for the bank and the shareholders. The unstable situation of the company led the bank to take preventive action against a potential future financial loss, by closing the accounts, before a solution could be reached with the shareholders and potential new investors.

    Fibercon was a debt recovery and full-on turnaround case, where I served as interim CEO for five years. It was a severely distressed business case, with multiple challenges in all parts of the company, with massive debt, decreasing sales figures, major inventory issues, failing business processes, and operational challenges in all ways imaginable. The company was completely restructured and cashflow was secured under my management, yet the company was still under full bank ownership during the turnaround and debt recovery project. My objective was to revitalize the company and to secure the bank's financial engagement in the company and get the business focused, profitable and sellable within the shortest possible timeframe. All this had to be done in order for the bank to realize assets or sell the company in going concern. In March 2021, the bank received a bid on all the assets including property and buildings. The bank accepted the offer and Fibercon was liquidated by the bank, which led to the completion of the project from my side. The buyers of the assets started Fibercon under a new company registration number the following day and it is still in full operation under new management and ownership.
