I'm Zi Yi, and I have just obtained my MSc. Management degree with Distinction at the Lancaster University Management School (Leipzig campus), after completing my BSc. International Business at the Grenoble School of Management (GEM) in France where I also graduated with Distinction. I served as both Class Representative and Student Ambassador during my time at Lancaster, and am now serving as an Alumni Mentor.My accomplishments include being the best student of my batch during my time at Lancaster, winning the Digital Transformation competition and the Entrepreneurship Pitch competition here, as well as launching a startup with 3 other fellow students, which we took all the way to the Investor Pitch Event at HHL Business School Leipzig.At Grenoble School of Management in France, I was part of a 5-strong team which won the International Design Thinking Competition organised by the Royal Roads University in Canada! In brief, we were tasked with helping out the Beacon Community Services thrift store in Canada using the Stanford D-School process of design thinking, figuring out how Beacon could further bolster inclusivity and community in its stores over the process of 3 gruelling rounds, with a whole range of international judges.In Grenoble, I was also a University Ambassador, Class Rep, and consistently Project Manager or Group Leader for projects. I've linked a video I did for them as an ambassador in my profile above!In terms of international exposure, I have now been in Germany for over a year, having moved back for my Masters after living in France for the past 2 years. I previously lived in Germany for 5 years, where I worked at the Apple Store in Düsseldorf, so needless to say, I speak fluent German (I have DSH 2.0 and C1 certificates). I also spent over 6 months in Austria as an exchange student. English is my native language and being Malaysian Chinese, I speak Chinese and Malay fluently as well. Besides Apple, I recently worked as a Recruiter at DHL IT Services in Human Resources.As for more "miscellaneous" information, I am a fitness enthusiast, an avid reader (especially of Murakami and psychology books - no correlation), and a pretty decent guitarist - I also love socialising, meeting new people and discovering more about them!
