As an undergrad, I worked with Professor Christie Toth to both edit and contribute to her book, "Transfer in an Urban Writing Ecology," which frames the Salt Lake Valley writing education network as an evolving ecology. This perspective on community and communication informs my work in finding ways to engage the community, ensuring the message reflects a historied but evolving audience. I currently freelance as a book designer, having designed books for Lightscatter Press and Moon in the Rye Press. As somebody who loves to work collaboratively, it has been very exciting to work with publishers who prioritize collaborative projects that often involve multiple artists and multiple mediums. Together, we're able to create highly engaging, cohesive reader experiences.Since 2022, I have worked with Moon in the Rye Press to help them achieve their goal of sharing Utah writing with Utah readers. It has been an immense pleasure to connect with writers statewide to bring their writing to print. I have also developed a variety of community workshops, including book-making and design workshops for the Salt Lake Community College Student Publication Center, storytelling workshops with the Utah Historical Society, and zine-making workshops at the University of Utah.
