Reported out a data story on subway ridership at the peak of the pandemic. Scripted automatic daily updates to visualizations using data pulled from the city's GitHub.

Award-winning hyperlocal reporting on the local government, schools, culture, crime and human interest beats as the sole reporter covering the city of Glen Cove. Reported, edited, laid out and took photos for the print edition. A contaminated water supply, a city council in political transition, a school board election and school safety conversations in the wake of the Parkland shooting, prom-posals, innovative local chefs, NIMBYism against a group home for young women with eating disorders, and an outspoken Animal Shelter-truther all made this an interesting year.

Wrote/Reported 5-6 hyperlocal stories per week. (see Portfolio Link). Straddled two different coverage areas/production schedules. Uncovered corruption in a volunteer EMS corp of which the mayor was an active member. My reporting got an important pedestrian overpass to a park re-opened. Oceanside's sanitation department remains the most surreal beat I've worked.

Developed a B2B product from scratch aimed at helping brand managers get more engaging content for their social feeds. Self-taught Ruby on Rails (Web-app framework) and created beta-ready app in 4 months. Managed a team of 3 – 4 developers to deliver new features on a weekly basis. Maintained, troubleshooted, and monitored the beta app. Was on-call 24/7 for emergency bug fixes. Maintained network of contacts in the startup world. Pitched product to investors, most notably at Startup Voodoo 2014 (finalists), and the International Web Summit in Dublin.
