Design of CFA piles, rotary piles and mini/micro piles, ground engineering elements • Responsible for tender designs and providing support to Pre Construction team • Responsible for contract designs and support to Operations teams during construction Key projects:• Lead designer for Bloomberg Square, London, responsible for design of £14M of piling works (embedded retaining walls, large diameter bearing piles and mini piles)• Lead designer for Battersea Power Station Phase 1 (£6M) responsible for design of bearing piles for first phase of the power station redevelopment project• Lead designer for 5 Broadgate (£3M) responsible for secant wall design and re-engineering of hand dug under ream piles to micro pile groups

Responsible for submitting bids for a wide variety of projects throughout the UK. Responsibilities included:• Review of all tender documentation including drawings, site investigation information, sub contracts terms and conditions, specifications • Costing and programming works including bills of quantity• Completion and submission of detailed bid proposals to Client• Tender design of projects• Review of risks and mitigation measures

This project in the centre of London consisted of large diameter secant wall piles, mini piles for restricted access secant walls and large diameter bearing piles. I was involved in the project from cost plan stage to completion of construction. During this period I was responsible for:• Providing early costing, design advice and planning to the Client followed by full tender and bid submission• Responsible for undertaking value engineering exercises during tender stage• Project management during the construction of the piling elements responsible for all aspects on site including programming, managing costs, day to day coordination of works, health and safety and risk management, commercial issues and change management, interfacing with Client and Principal Contractor

Responsible for management of projects during construction of piling works. Responsibilities included:• Start up of projects, ordering of plant and materials required• Completing cost plans and managing costs on site• Writing method statements, risk assessments and management of health and safety on site, daily briefings and tool box talks for operatives• Programming and management of sequencing• Quality management and record keeping
