As a certified flight instructor at an established flight school, I was responsible for the safe and effective training of student pilots of all levels of experience. I gave introductory flights to new students, in order to recruit them for flight training. I provided training and endorsements for Biannual Flight Reviews and Instrument Proficiency Checks. Flight instructors must be able to adapt teaching methods to be effective to different styles of learning, and be prepared to handle any in-flight emergencies beyond the students' capacity. The majority of my instruction was provided to students working towards Instrument ratings, Commercial Pilot ratings, and Multi Engine aircraft ratings. As the instructor, I was responsible for determining when a student was sufficiently prepared to pass an FAA check ride with an area examiner, with an emphasis on safe flying habits.

Certified flight instructor with ATP Flight Schools for their fast track commercial aviation education program. As an instructor, I was responsible for ground and in-flight training designed to prepare students to move quickly from zero experience to an experience level required to work in the commercial airlines. Instructors also gave tours of the education facilities, provided introductory flights to new students, and were required to have advanced knowledge of the program, facilities and curriculum in order to answer any questions for potential students.

Full time commercial flight attendant at a Part 121 commercial airline. The flight attendant's main priority is to respond quickly in emergency situations, including but not limited to, evacuations, dealing with hostile passengers, medical emergencies, and fires. I was trained to monitor passengers throughout the flight to screen for potential security risks. Secondary to safety requirements, my job was to provide excellent customer service to all passengers, monitor unaccompanied minors, and act as the public face of the company at all times.

As a server, the goal is to provide an excellent dining experience from the moment a customer walks through the door until the moment they exit the establishment. My responsibilities included arriving early for meal services to assist in the preparation of the dining room and kitchen areas for an efficient service, greet customers in a friendly fashion, and maintain a working knowledge of the dining room, menu, and daily specials. By providing exceptional customer service, I ensure a positive experience for the customer that encourages them to return. I must anticipate needs, adapt my service based on customer demand, and collect payment for services in a timely fashion. At the end of each service, I must assist in the cleaning of the dining room and preparation for the next service, working in harmony with the rest of the service team.

Walt Disney World Boardwalk

Jelly Rolls Dueling Piano Bar is a high energy cocktail lounge with entertainment on the Walt Disney World Boardwalk hotel. Cocktail servers are required to maintain a Disney Look and attitude at all times while providing excellent customer service in a fast paced and loud environment. Each server manages one third of the floor at all times throughout the evening, as well as splitting duties of preparation for the night in floor setup, restroom cleaning and maintenance, and end of night cleaning. Servers assist the bartenders as necessary with restocking during service, and any other needs. Servers maintain tabs throughout the night for multiple tables and standing clients, as well as joining the entertainment on stage for specific family friendly choreographed dances. Servers are responsible for managing large amounts of cash and credit cards for convention level events as well as vacationing families.

Disney Springs

While working at Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, my job was to provide a Disney level experience to every customer. Servers worked in dining room sections, as well as providing customized full service experiences to customers at their individual bowling lanes. In addition to providing excellent restaurant customer service, the servers were responsible for encouraging sales of retail items, and providing assistance required on the bowling lane. The server was required to have a wide understanding of a larger than average restaurant menu, and be aware and alert to any customer allergies or special needs, while at all times maintaining the Disney look and experience.

Started as a Host for Rula Bula Irish Pub near the Arizona State University campus. Duties as a host included assisting in the set up of the dining room for meal service, greeting customers as they enter the establishment, and managing the floor throughout service to ensure an efficient and comfortable dining experience. Hosts also worked in tandem with security on weekend evenings to collect band covers and draw in potential customers.Was then trained as a server for all meal services, required to provide exemplary customer service to all ages of clientele. Servers manage the customer experience, assist the host in their duties, and provide a positive and satisfying meal service from start to finish. Required to have an advanced knowledge of not only the food menu, but also the specialized liquors available from the bar service. Duties involved arriving early to set up and assist in food prep for services, and clean after closing. Restaurant was an especially fast paced environment typical of a large college town, including special events.

Arizona State University

Worked as a certified lifeguard at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center, the student athletic aquatic complex for Arizona State University. The lifeguards primary function was to survey the pool area and respond in any emergency situations. Tasks also involved maintaining a safe environment for athletes of all levels, as well as cleaning of the facilities, and assisting coaches and athletes if necessary.
