I am an Advanced Practitioner in the Intensive Support Function working within the Halton Community Learning Disability Team. As part of this role my work falls under the Transforming Care Agenda to support more people with disabilities to live their lives successfully in the community and avoid unnecessary inpatient admissions. I work closely with clients and partner agencies such as social care and allied health professionals to develop person centred plans, advocate for human rights and ensure collaborative working following the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act. I have recently become the lead for the LD & Dementia pathway as part of the Clinical Excellence Network within Mersey Care. I am a board-certified behaviour analyst at doctoral level and a UKBA (cert) and currently serve as the chair for the Association for Applied Behavior Analysis International's Behavioral Gerontology Special Interest Group. I am passionate about behavioural gerontology, particularly dissemination and creation of resources for other behaviour analysts.
