Experienced journalist and editor covering the fascinating world of cinematography.Other specialist areas I have written about include audio visual innovation (from virtual reality and drones through to production and broadcast tech), live events, creative industries, photography and design.Before taking on my current role editing British Cinematographer I was editor of AV Magazine, where I helped evolve the print, online and multimedia offerings of the brand. Prior to this I was assistant editor of Total Production International (TPi) magazine and wrote about the productions, people and technology behind the live events industry; encompassing music and entertainment. My time spent as as reporter at Televisual magazine and deputy editor of Sony's The Producer magazine saw me reporting on TV and film production, concentrating on creative and technical aspects of the sector and interviewing key figures.I have extensive experience in research, interviewing, writing and project management and development for both print and online media. As my roles have often required me to represent stories visually, I also enjoy taking photographs, drawing on my experience as a portrait photographer at Fotek. I have also worked as a reporter and photographer for national and regional editions of a newspaper.
