I began my career as a beauty journalist over 25 years ago and went on to edit market-leading title ‘Hair’ magazine. As well as coming up with its creative vision, the role saw me consult for global haircare brands, attend photoshoots throughout Europe, meeting and mingling with the hairdressing elite, plus dreaming up and launching the very first Hair Magazine Awards.More recently, I worked for one of London’s leading content agencies, getting under the skin of the UK’s most high-profile retail brands. I was part of the team that launched M&S’s beauty hall concept into its stores and have written on subjects including beauty, lifestyle, wine, interiors and food. As a freelance writer, I have had countless features printed across a number of titles. Assignments have ranged from going behind the scenes with Take That at a Rankin shoot and shopping with Delia Smith, to page-turning stories about local topics for Surrey Life magazine.These days, I’m passionate about helping salons and haircare brands realise their big ambitions through the power of PR. With a killer eye for detail and design, plus a savvy grip on the digital world, I’m a multi-skilled member of the Gorgeous team. I’ve returned to my ‘roots’ in the hair industry and know everything there is to know about getting your brand noticed.
