This role was an autonomous role in which I oversaw all elements of marketing within the Compass residential and business brands. It was my duty to oversee and manage content on the website and on other platforms to ensure it was up-to-date, accurate and clear. During my time at Compass, I refreshed and refined the automated emails as well as the FAQs on the website. After a successful two-month contract, I was recommended to for the role of Publicity Specialist on a four month contract. In this role, I worked closely with Waste Solutions, creating content such as press releases, social media posts and online articles to inform and educate Aucklanders about better waste practices. I also assisted with marketing tasks, including producing marketing materials, arranging advertising and updating the Waste Solutions website.During my time, I worked on a long-term publicity campaign for the rollout of community recycling centres, helped arrange community engagement events and built a marketing plan for Composting workshops across Auckland.I interacted with a wide range of people during my time in this role, including community groups, politicians, suppliers, agencies and council workers. This fortified my relationship building skills and with the high-pressure environment, I also improved my organisational and task-prioritisation skills.

Operatunity is a small, family-owned company that provides daytime concerts and musical travel to retired and semi-retired New Zealanders.I was responsible for all marketing and media day-to-day tasks, as well as assisting with customer bookings on the phone. I also oversaw the design, print and mailout of the brochure to over 11,000 customers. I put a lot of effort and care into creating articles which were both entertaining and enlightening. My work also gave me the opportunity to speak at two open day sessions, one for parents and one for students. This helped build confidence in public speaking and interacting with the general public. I also volunteered at the 2013 ANZMA conference, giving me some valuable experience in events.
