I supported three studies at the Research Centre for Hauora and Health on a casual basis. Two studies focussed on workers in the vehicle collision-repair and agriculture industries to study exposure to solvents and pesticides, respectively. The third study focussed on the urban and rural microbiome of infants, to assess how exposure to the natural environment might affect the risk of developing allergies in very young children. I worked in the Proactive Intervention and Monitoring (PIM) group, which focussed on monitoring, analysing and proactively intervening when significant and system-wide issues appeared in the public sector. I supported two teams within PIM that both focussed on best practice; one team was dedicated to OIA and LGOIMA practices government agencies and local councils, while the other was dedicated team investigated issues in the public sector that could be resolved through early resolution.
