I have the privilege of working with charities and other fundraising organisations to help them raise more money to support their life-changing work! I provide training, mentoring, support with fundraising strategy development and other help and advice on income generation. I specialise in helping small-medium sized charities, and Christian charities.

I am a Project Worker this year on the Peterborough Winter Night Shelter, which is run by The Light Project (https://www.lightprojectpeterborough.org.uk/projects/peterborough-winter-night-shelter/). I will be working closely with the Guests and our wonderful churches and volunteers who provide a hot meal, shelter, a warm bed, and friendship every night through to April 2020. I am privileged to be part of this amazing project.

I managed a cross-organisational project to look at how Buglife might be strengthened and grown so that it is sustainable and effective long in to the future. I led work to look at how key functions such as fundraising, awareness-raising, communications, advocacy and partnerships with other organisations might be developed. The project entailed redesigning the structure of the charity, the development of a strategic proposal for growth, organisational income and expenditure forecasts over a 5-year period, development of organisational culture, whole team away-days, facilitation of internal communication and change management. As a result of this project Buglife has been awarded the largest grant in its history - an investment in securing the charity for the future.

- Managed grant making via 4 charitable trusts – awarding grants to individuals to assist with utility arrears and essential items they were in need of- A member of the Senior Management Team, reporting to CEO- Managed a team of 11 staff and all Grants Unit operations- Initiated and led a Business Process Review which resulted in fundamental changes and significant improvements to internal processes. I restructured the department, introduced more effective use of technology and redesigned the assessment process. As a result a long-standing backlog was cleared and targets were exceeded.

- Managed ChildLine's fundraising through legacies, payroll giving and Christmas trading- Consistently exceeded targets in payroll giving and legacy income- Developed annual plans, set expenditure and income budgets, and monitored performance against these- Carried out research into legacy giving and launched ChildLine’s legacy marketing- Line-management of two staff members - Member of a small working group that brought in a new organisational contacts database
