Zoë is a registered osteopath (currently non-practicing) working in healthcare charity and patient education. Zoë is also a passionate patient advocate and has published on axial spondyloarthritis and disability accessibility in osteopathic undergraduate education.As Programme Manager at the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society, Zoë has co-produced the Supported Self-management Programme with people living with the condition and healthcare professionals:- Since April 2020, Zoë has run 126 live-streamed webinars with over 407,000 views- Since January 2021, Zoë has run 60 regional self-management sessions in collaboration with 48 NHS rheumatology teams, reaching over 1600 people with axial SpA. Poster presentation of the Pilot findings won the Best Poster award at the British Society for Rheumatology conference 2022- Launched in March 2023, Your SpAce has received over 17,000 video views and the 16 peer support meetups have had over 480 attendees. The Your SpAce programme results were shared at EULAR Congress 2024 and Zoë was awarded the Abstract Award (PARE Category).As a Member of Council for the Institute of Osteopathy, Zoë is Chair of the Student Committee and a member of the Policy and Standards Committee.Co-Founder and Speaker with Educate and Advocate Training since November 2019, Zoë is an experienced public speaker providing education and training for healthcare professionals. E&A Training have a particular focus on advocating for patients through their courses and highlighting conditions with long delays to diagnosis.Speaking events have included:- Speaking about her personal experiences of axial SpA at the NASS All-Party Parliamentary Group in January 2020- Interviewed on Channel 5 News (January 2020)- Presenting to delegates at the Institute of Osteopathy Convention (November 2019)
