I'm a Gibson Ek High School senior in Issaquah, WA. Over the last three years, I have worked in many different professional settings to expand my knowledge and skills within biology, ichthyology, sustainability, and leadership. I'm working with Peter Donaldson at Sustainability Ambassadors, a youth-led non-profit of over 60 participants dedicated to "rapidly advancing a sustainable future." We do this by working directly with students, teachers, and stakeholders alike through engaging in-person events and webinars. In the future, I want to push myself to graduate from college with degrees in marine biology and environmental law/policy. By expanding my positive community engagement, I plan to achieve this by setting myself up for success over the next few years. These goals are all supported by the past and current professional relationships I've established so far. To finish high school, I'm required to complete a two-year capstone project in which I have begun making progress in communicating with the right people who can help make a real change. I'm looking forward to expanding my professional interaction and learning experiences through this and creating a project to better my community while supporting The City of Issaquah's Climate Action Plan and our planet's natural beauty.
