Direct Service Program ContractorUnite Oregon Aug 2020 - Mar 2022Portland, Oregon, United StatesDeveloped, designed and implemented an expansion of the Unite Oregon Direct Service Program, and as a result efficiently directed and allocated approximately $200,000 to stabilize community members across Oregon. This expansion represented approximately a fourfold increase in the capacity of the existing program. Used participatory evaluation skills to inform program development and continuous improvement throughout. Managed a program staff of approximately 16 people, all virtually. During development of program, researched and vetted case management databases, centering the unique needs of the organization in determining which software to choose as the foundation for the expanded direct service program; selected CaseWorthy a relational database management system built on top of a Microsoft SQL Server Database. Under extremely tight deadlines, I built out the program in the new database, trained the staff and provided excellent support throughout. Compiled various reports, including: renters protection lobby days report centering the voices of the community members served in the program who experienced extreme housing instability; comprehensive report of the expansion of the program, centering program staff experiences and with the distinct focus on organizational learning and celebration. Supported organization to pursue trauma informed care (TIC) training and develop TIC organizational policies. -

Coalition Coordinator - VolunteerPortland Immigrant Rights Coalition Sep 2016 - Apr 2017Portland, Oregon AreaAfter completion of an internship with the lead organization of the coalition I was welcomed into PIRC as a volunteer. I consistently provided the coalition with administrative and organizational support, essentially creating the role of coalition coordinator where there was no such role before.Duties included but were not limited to: organizing and co-facilitating coalition meetings every two weeks, managing coalition email account and Facebook account, establishing and managing PIRC documents organizer, volunteer coordination, and more. InternEpic Change Jul 2008 - Aug 2008Arusha, TanzaniaWorked with a young organization with a nuanced approach to philanthropy. The model provided large loans to non-profits, along with the support for organizing fundraising plans to repay the loan over the long-term with no interest. I assisted with logistical support during Epic Change's initial project in Arusha, Tanzania. The local receiving organization had successfully used the loan to build a new school. Our goal was to assist them in organizing fundraising to begin repayment of the loan. Repayments were then used toward future investments in change makers in Afghanistan, Napal, Kenya and the US.
