Reporting to the CEO Senior Project Manager coordinated the financial changes and operational implications of the transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)Responsibilities Include:• Undertaking research projects and develop business proposals/cases and prepare reports.• Profitability analysis of expansion proposals, work with business managers and create frameworks and ensure suitable funding.• Manage working capital requirements and cash flows throughout a time of dramatic change in revenue stream.• Deliver strategic commercial project proposals in line with the business plans• Develop survey methodologies, implementation of research projects, importing of data into analysis software and data analysis.• Work with business leaders to compile budgets and 12 month rolling forecasts.• Undertake the project financial analysis including DCF, NPV, IRR, Payback etc.• Develop project planning and tracking framework and methodology• Assess and recommend suitable entry level organisational specialised project management software.• In conjunction with business case preparation, initiate project plans.• For approved business cases, work with implementation team to develop and enhance project plans for team to manage.• Monitor projects against project approval criteria and agreed project plans.• Regularly report and assess project performance.• Develop processes for completing projects and produce and maintaining up-to-date documentation.

The Financial Controller reports to the Global Maritime Director of Finance based in the UK and manages the finances and reporting of FLIR's Asian Pacific maritime operations. FLIR Asia turns over $20 million AUD per year with 13 staff in Australia and a Singapore sales team of 2 servicing our Asian markets.Responsibilities Include:• Weekly sales and costs analysis reporting for the APAC team. • Inventory management and reconciliation through our third party warehouse.• Transfer pricing and managing the impact of FX on our price list. • Month end processes and completion within a three day time frame• Monthly progress and financial reporting - Sales and costs variance analysis submitted to head office.• Working understanding of US GAAP through reporting into a US listed company• Member of the management team of the APAC office - One direct report (reduced from a team of two in 2013)• Negotiating and establishing customer agreements through our retail, service dealer and distributor networks.• Management of the monthly BAS completion, GST management, payables and receivables both in Australia and Singapore.• Overseeing the HR and payroll function for an Australian team of 13 and a Singapore sales office of 2. Reporting to the General Manager and a volunteer Management Committee of 10 the Financial Controller managed the finances of the Supporters Club. The Club had an annual turnover of approximately $10 million AUD. A Not for Profit entity the club financially supported the Mooloolaba volunteer Surf Lifesaving Club.Responsibilities Include:• Month end financial reporting to the management committee in an efficient and timely manner. • Managing and training finance and administrational staff.• Adaption of the MYOB file to best support the business and be used to its full potential.• Monthly BAS completion, GST management and all correspondence with the ATO.• Weekly budget analysis and reporting on variances.• Overseeing the payroll function of 13 permanent and up to 40 casual employees, including superannuation, group certificates, payroll tax, compliance and weekly payroll.• Daily cash management- tracking income and management of cash flows.• Workplace Health and Safety Officer for the Supporters Club. Managing staff and patron safety and ensuring compliance with WHS QLD legislation.• Both A/R and A/P function – tracking of invoices and expenses, prompt payment to suppliers and management of overhead expenses.• Introduced a new Point of Sale system to include tighter controls on tracking and accounting for movement of stock. Trained all staff on the use of the system and perform weekly management checks.• Daily reconciliation of multiple bank statements.Achievements:• Successful implementation of a new POS system - substantially decreasing cash flow variances..• Negotiated the approved application bid for significant loans for renovations to the Surf Club premises.
