I lead the People Operations department for DISCO, a software startup and leader in the music industry. DISCO has a fully remote, global workforce with a presence in Australia, Europe, the UK and USA.

Working remotely as the HR Director, my duties include:- Working as a member of the Leadership Team- Managing and operating the 'HR On-Demand' service for clients in a variety of industries- Development and implementation of strategic HR initiatives for clients- Job design and development of evaluation metrics (KPI's)- Interpreting Modern Awards, employment legislation and common law- Leadership coaching and training program design and development- Salary benchmarking, incentive schemes and design of reward & recognition programs- Industrial relations support and representation at conciliation- Engagement & retention

Recruitment and Selection;Modern Award & Fair Work Act interpretation;Quality (ISO 9001), Safety AS 4801 and RCSA compliance management;Performance Management;Policy/Procedure development and implementation;Workcover management;WH&S management.

Management of SA and NSW HR and training delivery;Providing employment law compliance advisory and strategic support to the Executive team;Writing of HR, WHS, and Employee Entitlement policies and procedures;Employment contract writing and management;Development and facilitation of group training, one-on-one needs-based training, and on the job coaching for leaders and employees;Ownership and development of the Manager In Training (MIT) program;Facilitation of Service, Sales & OHS and POS Software training;Administrative support including maintaining training records and external traineeship programs;Supporting managers by providing practical and commercial support

Writing all policies and procedures for the Group, ensuring Australia-wide compliance;End to end recruitment and selection and undertaking exit interviewsEmployee relations;Performance management;Award interpretation, including the transition to the Modern Awards and FWA;Monthly statistical reporting – employee turnover/age of workforce/length of service;Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordination for all employees, Australia wide;OH&S Training and assessment.

Recruitment of new employees;Contract/AWA/ITEA writing - Award/legislation interpretation;Performance/grievance management;Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator role;Workcover management, IMRS preparation and return to work management;Risk assessment, injury and hazard management;Coordinate, create and implement OH&S training;Creation and implementation of SWMS;Policy and procedure creation and implementation;Responsible for group compliance to OH&S legislation;Auditing of OHSMS and inspection of warehouses, stores and office areas;Annual EEO report and Workcover reconciliation preparation.
