Drawing on my experiences as a mentor in film production and my understanding of adolescent psychology and my specific lived experiences as a neurodivergent student and drama teacher I was able to really help these young people reach their potential and thrive in this high pressure situation by focusing on their specific needs and strengths as individuals and in doing so allowing them to achieve their academic goals without reaching burnout and armed with confidence in themselves and transferable coping mechanisms that allowed them to succeed.
