About Zoë Karabinus

Zoë Karabinus is an Ohio State University alumnus with dual bachelor’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Aviation from the College of Engineering. She specializes in strategic planning and program management and development. Zoë currently serves as the Program Director for the Keystone Space Collaborative, a non-profit, space-focused organization with a mission to support and serve the growing space industry in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. She’s served on the executive team of multiple organizations including the Ohio State Aerospace Honorary Society (ΣΓΤ) and the Ohio Air Mobility Symposium. She has her private pilot license and remote pilot certification from Ohio State’s flight training program. Her experiences have allowed her with a diversified portfolio spanning both the Aerospace and Aviation industries.

As Program Director I look to champion regional commercial space topics, driving visibility of Keystone Space as hub for tri-state activity and engagement to partners, public officials, funders, educational institutions, speakers, and national/international space associations and organizations. I coordinate and support Keystone Space industry members, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and funder relations and communications. I secure grants, sponsorships and memberships to increase Keystone Space revenue and place Keystone Space on the path to fiscal self-sufficiency. I implement strategic planning utilizing Keystone Space members and outside contractors to achieve goals and objectives under guidance of the working Board of Directors while managing and executing Keystone Space programs and events.

    Planned and curated the Ohio Air Mobility Symposium in 2021 virtually and 2022 in-person. This event served to address the innovative work Ohio companies and individuals are doing in regards to the air mobility ecosystem and further advance Ohio's efforts and connections in this industry. As Program Coordinator I developed and curated the event which was devoted to bringing together industry leaders, government officials, federal regulators, and academics working on air mobility research and development. I was responsible for developing the agenda, contacting panelists and moderators, organizing event logistics and finances, moderating panels, acting as MC for the conference, and collaborating with university, government, and industry stakeholders. I remain on the advisory team presently.
